Guidelines for 'Chiron' authors

Information for authors

'Chiron' is published twice a year, in autumn and spring. Submissions are commissioned and received throughout the year. A due date and word length for your submission can be discussed with the editor.

Submissions

Medial alumni of the University of Melbourne are welcome to submit obituaries of fellow alumni, reports of reunions and personal profiles to the editors. View 'Chiron' editor contact details.

Illustrations

A '.jpg' file, scanned at a minimum of 300 dpi and sent to the editor is ideal. If you do not have access to email please send a CD to the above address. If you cannot provide a digital file of your picture please send a hard copy to our postal address and we will scan and return it to you. Please include details of who is in the photograph and when it was taken. If your illustration should be attributed to a third party, for example a photographer or a library, please include those details with the file.

Style

We use the Commonwealth Government Style Guide and the Macquarie Dictionary. In accordance with modern publication standards we use minimal capitalisation.

A selection of articles from 'Chiron' will be published on the 'Chiron' website. Please let us know if you do NOT want your article published on the web.

Please include details of graduation (MB BS) year, other qualifications, honours and academic appointments with the names of all authors.
