This will involve collating data from clinical data sheets, downloading it onto a software program, analysing the data and providing a data analysis report paper. This report will be presented by the student to the clinicians in a peer review session at the end of the student program. The expected outcome for the student will be to gain understanding of clinical data capture and analysis. The student will also develop skills in report writing and medical presentations. The program will also require the student to work in a team as well as working independently. Skills in computer data entry and data analysis will also result from the program ContentCoursework: N/A Research: The general area of research will be clinical dermatology research in various areas but in particular surgical dermatology relating to the management of skin cancer. Sample Research Topics: Specific topics include:- a) Mohs surgery data collection, entry and analysis for 10 surgeons over a defined period of time analysising skin cancer, site, size, type treatment and surgical repairs. b) Laser surgery Data collection, entry and analysis of various lasers used in dermatological surgery. c) Photo Dynamic Therapy,(PDT).
