Coursework: Intermediate Epidemiology and Biostatistics
Research: Research will be in basic or clinical areas of radiology, in one of the following areas: neuroradiology, abdominal radiology, vascular radiology, musculoskeletal radiology, chest radiology, breast imaging, and oncologic radiology.
Most radiology research is clinical as opposed to laboratory or "bench-top", and most is performed in close collaboration with the relevant clinical units and in some instances with well-established research units. Projects may be offered in any of the Faculty's clinical schools; to date all have been based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
Sample Research Topics:
- MRI in investigation of stroke and cerebral tumours
