ContentResearch: Most doctors engage in teaching in one of its many different forms. The combination of research and coursework in this unit will give students a thorough grounding in current educational theory and research. The coursework will assist students to gain an understanding of the educational theories and processes used in medical and clinical education in order to understand why particular methods are used in different teaching situations. The research possibilities are varied, with access to the academic staff of the Medical Education Unit, and could range from the design and evaluation of learning tasks, to an investigation of clinical teaching.
