Students completing the Qualitative Health Research subject should:
This subject will give students an understanding of the principles underlying good research within a qualitative framework. It will explore the nature of qualitative research and its importance to health care generally and medicine in particular. Readings, class exercises and assessment are chosen to directly support the research endeavours of those students undertaking a qualitative research project during the AMS year.
Written work up to 5000 words which may include class exercises, research task for Ethics Module, and research proposal.
NOTE: Students must achieve a pass in all of the above areas.
